No bail for DU teacher Saibaba accused of Maoist links


NAGPUR: The Gadchiroli sessions court in Maharashtra on Friday rejected the bail plea of GN Saibaba, the Delhi University lecturer arrested for alleged connections with Naxalites. Saibaba, who teaches English at Ram Lal Anand College of Delhi University and is wheelchair-bound, is the deputy secretary of “Revolutionary Democratic Front”. He is in custody since May 9 after Maharashtra police arrested him in Delhi last month. The sessions court in Gadchiroli district on Friday refused to grant him bail, a press release issued by Gadchiroli police said.
